It became the first Nollywood movie to stay six consecutive weeks at the top of the box office, and crossed the ₦500 million mark, a milestone no Nigerian film had achieved before.
It also stayed atop the box office for its seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth weeks, ultimately becoming only the second movie in English-speaking West Africa to gross over ₦600 million after Black Panther.
Funke Akindele’s performance in the film earned her the Best Actress in a Comedy award at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. Additionally, the film received nominations for Best Movie West Africa and Best Overall Movie.
