For Africa at the 2025 Oscars, it is Cindy Lee’s short film, The Last Ranger, in and Mati Diop’s Dahomey falling short.

Acclaimed projects from Senegal, Zambia, and Somalia will be screening at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.

The Senegalese-French Mat Diop joins other esteemed colleagues such as Agnieszka Holland, Juliette Binoche, Arthur Harari, and Sandra Hüller in calling for the release of ndrei Gnyot.
