In a new collaboration, Nigerian producer Kunle Afolayan’s KAP Film and Television Academy has joined forces with the GIZ Center for Migration and Development to offer a free 15-day Advanced Video Editing and Sound Design Program.
According to the organisers, “These in-demand video editing and sound design skills are in high demand worldwide and the training will open doors for the participants locally, regionally, and beyond.”
This project-based course from KAP Film and Television Academy and the GIZ is designed specifically for professionals and experienced creators. It will take place from October 2 to 22 at the KAP Hub in Lagos, Nigeria.
A statement from the KAP Film and Television Academy reads: “We are offering 30 spots—15 in Video Editing and 15 in Sound Design. Each participant will be selected based on their previous work and experience.
“Don’t miss out on this incredible chance to elevate your career in film and television production. Apply now and let’s create something extraordinary together!”
While support after the programme is not guaranteed, the Academy says it will “seek and notify participants of opportunities and may assist with applications”.
To be considered for the program, interested candidates must submit a portfolio showcasing their previous work and demonstrating their experience and expertise. Details here.
