Moses Babatope’s Nile Media Entertainment Group and Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife are partnering up. The two establishments are coming together for “The Pods”, a luxury cinema experience in West Africa.
In an Instagram post, Abudu wrote: “Hello, beautiful people, I’m beyond excited to share that we are partnering with the esteemed Nile Media Entertainment Group to bring a truly luxurious cinema experience across West Africa, “The Pods”.
“EbonyLife Cinemas has proudly held the number one top spot in West Africa, recognized for our outstanding revenue, impressive admission numbers, and unparalleled luxury.
“Now, we’re taking this success even further by collaborating with Nile Entertainment to deliver even more extraordinary experiences to our audiences. Here’s to new beginnings, partnerships that matter, and the ultimate in cinematic luxury.”
The partnership is expected to birth 10 luxury cinema pods every year in a half-decade. According to a Deadline exclusive, the pods will offer customers a private and intimate setting with plush reclining seats, personal concierge service, and access to curated film selections.

Babatope, formerly one of the leaders of major African distribution outfit FilmOne, recently started Nile Media Entertainment Group. Creating the Pods indicates the new company’s ambition.
