Shaka Ilembe was the biggest winner at the 2024 South African Film nd TV Awards. It won 12 awards, including Best Actor – TV Drama.

The Weekend, by Daniel Oriahi, now holds the record for the most nominations (16) ahead of the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).

Genoveva Umeh, Mike Afolarin, Uche Montana, Jide Oyegbile, and Kayode Ojuolape are among Future Awards nominees for 2024.

Shake Ilembe gets 17 SAFTA nods. Its lead actor gets 4 nominations.

Mo Harawe’s The Village Next to Paradise is one of 29 films eligible for nominations ahead of the European Film Awards.
