A list of projects/producers appearing at the European festival, courtesy of the Locarno Open Doors programme, has been announced.

Locarno Film Festival’s Open Doors programme is now open to Africa and its filmmakers.

Locarno’s Best Emerging Director award went to Denise Fernandes, a filmmaker of Cape Verdean descent.

African filmmaking is the next target of Open Doors, a programme hosted by the Locarno Film Festival since 2003.
